"A good word is like a good tree, whose root is firm and whose branches are in the sky, yielding its fruit in every season with the permission of its Lord." [Ibrahim 14:25-25]

Hi there!

My name is Tahira Rabbani.

By some power beyond me, it seems like a lot of people know my name, but don't have a face to put with it. Additionally, they don't know much about my background. Concisely put: I was born in NY, grew up in NJ, lived in Pakistan for 1 year during 7th grade (besides that, I visited a handful of times before I was 12), and now reside in PA.

I have always wanted to be a novelist, but as I float down this stream that is my life, I have homeschooled my children for the past 10+ years, earned my masters in Urdu pedagogy, and am now teaching at various levels, subjects, and online locations.

Blogging has been in the back of my mind. Now seems like the right time to start since I have a clearer vision and goals for where I'm headed, inshaAllah. It has also been made clear that every meander and rock that I've hit in my life has added to my ability to steer better and further.

So, I thought I'd invite others along the way to share how my past has influenced my future. It's also to serve as a reminder to myself to look at whatever comes my way as a means to grow stronger.

Tahira Rabbani ‴
